These are a few of my favorite things...
Chanel AND Lily Allen???? Oh, life is complete :)
When i found out that Lily Allen was chosen as the next Chanel model for their new advertising campaign, I think I squealed with joy. I love love LOVE Lily Allen and her style of music. Also, Chanel HAS to be my FAVORITEEEEEEEEEEEEE designer. Coco Chanel is one of my designer role models, FOR SURE! I love everything about chanel and constantly browse the website for hope that I could some day own it...ALL! haha It's sad to admit but when I was in Paris this summer I walked up and down the Champs Elysees (very famous street in Paris with amazing shopping) looking for the Chanel store, which was actually off the street a little so by the time I found it, it was closed :( I was so sure I was going to buy my first Chanel item in Paris! How authentic is that?? But sadly I am still Chanel-less. But I do buy many things that are look-a-likes for much less money! For example, beautiful half & half tights that are very slimming on the legs first came out in the Chanel fashion show for 2009 winter if I'm not mistaken...a few months later, I found them on the Urban Outfitters website for only $10!!!! Of course they are not the same quality, but for $10 I bought like 3 pair!! haha People always say they look weird, but when they actually see them on me they change their opinion very quickly :) So anyway...I could talk about Chanel for hours(: <333
and Lily Allen is WONDERFUL! Not exactly the most popular artist out there, but she has to have one of the best personalities with such fun lyrics to her songs. Favorites of mine? LDN, Smile, and the WHOLE "The Fear" album, which is her latest one out...especially "F*ck You" if we're being honest. haha
So Lily Allen and Chanel was definitely a dream come true for me (: I recommend checking both of them out!

"just friends"
I know a girl who broke up with a guy and she told him she wanted to “still be friends.” He said, “No thanks.” She wondered why he couldn’t fall back to being just friends after they had a romantic relationship. I came up with the “McDonalds Analogy” to try and explain it in a simple way that would help all women understand this tough question.
Imagine if you went to McDonalds a lot and ordered a Big Mac Combo meal. A Big Mac, Large Fries and a Coke. You really like this meal. One day, you pull up to the drivethrough and order the Big Mac Combo meal and the girl tells you, “I’m sorry - you can have the Big Mac and the Coke, but you can’t get fries with that anymore.” You think about this for a moment, and sure - the Big Mac is the centerpiece of the meal, but McDonalds has some really good fries and you like their fries with your meal. So you say, “I’ve been able to get fries with that before, why can’t I have fries with my Big Mac combo anymore?” The girls says, “Well, I just think it is better if you only have the Big Mac and the Coke from here on out.”
At this point, a lot of guys are going to go to Wendy’s or BK and see if they can get fries with their combo at that drivethrough window. But there are some guys who REALLY like McDonalds Big Macs and they might think, “If I keep coming here and ordering the Big Mac and Coke, maybe she’ll change her mind and give me some fries with that later.” So they will keep on getting the combo without the fries until the deal breaker happens: One day that guy is going to order the Big Mac and Coke and then he’s going to pull up a little bit to pay, and someone else is going to pull up to the drivethrough speaker and order the “Big Mac Combo” and he is going to hear the girl say, “Would you like fries with that?”
That’s why guys don’t like to be friends with a girl who breaks up with them.

You Belong With Me
Oh Taylor Swift! How can any girl, or boy, NOT associate with the lyrics she writes in at least one of her songs? Yes, I'm a t.swift fan(: This one's from her song "You Belong With Me" from her album "Fearless," which has been firing up those charts recently. She turned 20 like a second ago and is winning so many female artist awards and really competing with the seasoned veterans at their own game. I figured my first real post should feature one of the most popular artists with some of the most love-filled lyrics ever written. Get it, Taylor, and keep doing what you're doing because it's obviously working(: "Fearless" & "Fearless: Platinum Edition" feature even cuter songs and I really can't pick just a few to name because I like them ALL so much. Check it out ASAP, if you haven't already(:

Explanations.
Why the title?
Well, I figured out there's only one thing that makes the world go 'round: love. Cliche, right? Well, I'm not denying that I'm cliche, but don't count me out just yet in terms of this blog. I'm not just talking about the "boy loves girl, girl loves boy" type of love. I'm talking about a love for anything. Think about it. NOTHING would ever happen in this world if there wasn't love. Where would we be if Thomas Edison didn't have a love for lighting up a room without a candle? How popular would the Lotto have become of people didn't have a love for gambling and winning millions of dollars...actually, who doesn't have a love for a miracle story? That's why "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is so popular...Heck, what would I be typing on if Steve Jobs didn't have a love for making personal computers? Have a PC sitting in my lap instead of my beautiful little macbook? No, grazie. haha..but seriously, I have a passion for love because it is the driving force behind every single thing we do. If you wanna argue with that subjective statement, then leave a comment and I will listen to your opinion...but in all honesty, will probably never change mine(: ...so that explains that first part of my blog title.
And the second part? fad. Well, besided my strong passion for love, I have a more materialistic passion for fashion. Don't judge. I love it. It's creative and interesting and constantly evolving. To quote that wonderful movie, "The Devil Wears Prada," fashion is "greater than art because you live your life in it." I'm not putting down art, please don't get me wrong. I respect art so much, but I also recognize fashion as an art...a kind of portable art that can strongly give people an insight to who you are without saying a word. Yes, yes..i know we aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but let's stop kidding ourselves...we all do it. Word of advice: just remember to be open to changing and adapting this instinctual judgment as you get to know these people. So...the second word of this blog title is a tribute to the art of fashion.
And to sum that all up: I plan to dedicate this blog to mostly passion & fashion..but since that name was apparently taken: love and fads(: (btw...I don't promise to ONLY stick to those two subjects). I think the name was a good compromise to the one I originally wanted. And who cares about the title? Form an opinion about my blog based on its content. Stop judging a blog by its title (;
